Michael Johnson, Music Director
A master musician, Michael Johnson is blessed with extraordinary talent and compassion. His day job is in health care, but since 2000 he has brought healing to the congregation with the medicine of music. Flexible, reliable, he is much loved, and the heart of a musical program that makes the Unity Community experience a joyful, musical delight. "I have always felt comfortable at Unity because I feel accepted and I can feel the human warmth from everyone." Michael is also active in local theater and volunteers with the Children's Musical Theater.
Jim Gordon, Coffee House Experience Music Coordinator
Keyboardist for the award-winning, Bay Area dance and party band The Groove Kings, Jim provides the audio energy for the new, Coffee House Experience service, 9 AM Sundays. The music is fun, contemporary and inspirational, featuring appearances by talented guest musicians.

Tyanne Goltz - Tyanne is a professional singer who is well-known in the San Francisco and Monterey Bay areas, and has performed professionally with Opera San Jose. Blessed with a clear, strong soprano voice, she contributes to the sacred space at Unity Community Church of San Jose and is music director at Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Pacific Grove.
Thomas Truhitte - Thomas is a veteran of the opera world, with numerous leading roles to his credit. A student of masters Jess Thomas and Claude Heater, his performances in Wagnerian roles have earned him rave reviews. He won grants from the Wagner Society of Northern California and Washington D.C.'s Evelyn Lear and Thomas Stewart Emerging Singer's Program, and earned the European Tour Grant Award from the Loren Zachary National Competition. Margee Wheeler - Margee Wheeler is a professional singer who has performed with such organizations as Opera San Jose, American Musical Theater of San Jose, Theater Works, and the San Jose Symphony, to name a few. She holds a Master's Degree in Vocal Performance, teaches and vocal directs for many theater companies and schools, and has a private vocal studio in San Jose. More »
